Strafer BIOBUZZ Bot

Our robot as it stands on 26 Oct 2026, rebuilt from 4 photos on a goBILDA Strafer V7 base. Drag to orbit, scroll to zoom.

Subsystems

Intake height (axle above floor)

109 mm

Wheels press 10 mm into the ball: 71.1 mm POLLEN, 91.4 mm NECTAR.

Outtake test release (v3)

Wheel 2 speed: 2530 rpm, ball leaves at 6.5 m/s Robot back to HIVE CELL: 840 mm

Press Release

Wheel 1 (two thin wheels, geared motor) holds the ball, then feeds it up the 25° slope. Wheel 2 bounces up on its arm for a NECTAR, and the hood slides back only near the exit, so both balls leave at the same 75°. 840 mm is the HIVE distance with the robot backed against the wall. Air drag is included; spin and the tilted CELL are not. The intake and storage lane are not designed yet.

Start-size check (R102, 18 in = 457.2 mm)

Length, wheel to intake	459.4 +2.2
Width over wheels	450.1 OK
Height, outtake hood	443.0 OK

Length is within measuring error, so check it on the real robot. Once the match starts the robot may grow to 18 × 24 in and 29 in (736.6 mm) tall (R105).

Field targets

FLOWER top opening	546 mm
FLOWER ring diameter	101.6 mm
HIVE upward CELL lip (exit)	1359 mm
Max elements controlled	4
